The space
The Tree Bungalow is a tastefully finished one-bedroom treehouse that stands amidst the cloud forest canopy in the mountains between Lake Arenal and Monteverde. Views of the lake can be seen through the branches below.
A symphony of tropical birds and the Caño Negro river flowing down below in the valley will be the main sounds you hear. Watch the fireflies and stars at night directly from your bed. Breathe the fresh air purified by the forest. Staying in this treehouse will synch you into a rhythm of peace and serenity.
The treehouse is intended for respectful enjoyment of nature and all its elements. Thus, this might not be the place for you if you are interested to have a late night party or if you want to play loud music.
You are literally in the branches of the rainforest and thus you might find harmless insect visitors from time to time.
The bedroom has a double bed and there is a futon in the living room with a high quality mattress for a comfortable sleep.
The wi-fi is totally reliable and good for normal usage. However, if you require something that is super technical or very heavy on the broadband then you might experience some brief buffering. Netflix or video calls are not a problem.
The kitchen is well equipped so you can enjoy your homemade meals. The breakfast basket of locally produced ingredients is provided daily for you so you can prepare your own breakfast: 2 eggs (per person), Whole wheat bread, Jam, Seasonal Fruits, Baked Treat, Unlimited Coffee.
For your comfort, it’s best to buy the groceries in La Fortuna or at the mini markets in El Castillo before arriving here.
The parking is 100m away from the treehouses, at the entrance of the property.
We have an organic garden with seasonal fruits and vegetables available for purchase.
Guest access
Guests have access to many km of the Milagro property trails and to the Tree Bungalow. Also available is a fire pit with separate arrangements necessary.
Other things to note
4x4 vehicle is required. Our tranquility and peacefulness can only be achieved by being at the end of a steep and bumpy road.
Parking is 100m away from the treehouses, at the entrance of the property. We provide umbrella and flashlight that you can use to get from the parking to the treehouse on a short paved path. No light pollution means the path is not lit. It also means you can see the extraordinary Milky Way on a clear night. It gets dark around 6pm all year around; something to keep in mind if you come back from your activities after then.
