Summary: Didnt get instructions until day before arrival, so, no idea if this was a ripoff or not until the last minute. Was emailing for a week before hand and got no response. Took over an hour of driving around an endless estate of houses to find the agents offices. GPS was even confused. Arrived at house and was hot and fussed. House was beautiful and our initial impression was WOW. Pool amazing and trees gave the whole area a lovely ambiance. Problems started with the doors. The front opening is a set of folding wooden doors, which don't have a lock. They are secured from inside by a series of levers, these control a thin pole which connect into crude holes in the ceiling and floor. They don't align properly so when the top is secure the bottom is not. Some don't even have a hole to go into. The door rattle if there is a wind, to stop this we had to push cardboard into the gaps. We had a lot of wind at night and the rattling was very bad. There is also a double door from the main bedroom with these same doors, and the same problems. They are in no way secure when leaving the house and could easily be pulled open from the outside. We worried constantly about security. The agent sent someone who arrived on the second weds. They didnt fix the problem. The WiFi.....we were given the wrong address and codes. We had no internet for the 3 days it took the agent to answer our texts and emails rectify the problem. My husband needed internet to work and we specifically requested this. THE ANTS, were a nightmare for several days. The house was infested. ALL our food had to be kept in the fridge. All refuse had to be immediately taken to the bins as the ants arrived in droves at any sign of food....put a cup of tea or coffee down....ants are all over it in seconds. They came out of the drain in the sink and the presses in the kitchen. We used several cans of spray over days and they retreated. Area very isolated and local shops were always closed when we needed them. Overall..agent no use. House needs better security. Pool fabulous. Area isolated without facilities. Definitely need car.
