3 Bedroom Place in Genalguacil

Surrounded by lush Mediterranean forest, this is a place where you will feel immersed in nature and be able to fully disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life. Although only 40 minutes from the coast, the deep valleys, oak forests and wild swimming spots make it a remarkable off the beaten track location for nature lovers.

There are 3 houses on the property altogether, each with their own private terraces. You will have both the finca and adjacent casita which sleeps 6 in total. The property managers live in the third house which is separated by back gardens and facing away. They live courteously apart, professionally conscious of the importance of guests’ right to privacy.

The finca is a small traditional Spanish house with 1 double bed and two small twin beds, 2 bathrooms, a fully functioning kitchen, dining room and lounge.

The casita has 1 double bed, 1 bathroom, small kitchen, lounge/dining room.

Both the finca and the casita have woodburners with logs for the winter months. Together they can sleep 6, although please note the two twin beds in the finca are slightly smaller (180 x 80cm) than a standard single bed size.

You will have access to all the outdoor space and exclusive access to the swimming pool, which is fed from our own natural spring. For the more adventurous, there is also steep hike down to a completely private river pool.

This is a very rural location (the main attraction for most visitors!) so you will need a car. However, there is good access off the quiet country road and ample parking within the grounds. A 4x4 is not necessary, an ordinary car is fine.

To give you an idea of driving distances; 10 mins to Genalguacil, 40 mins to Estepona, 1hr to Marbella, 1hr to Ronda, 1hr 40 mins to Gibraltar, 1 hr 45 mins to Malaga.

Summary: We have been coming here since 2012, which really says it all. Total relaxation in stunning surroundings, lovely big pool to dip in when it gets hot. Also A/C if it gets too hot and the joy of 3 dogs to fuss over. Lovely hosts Anne and Richard always there if you need advice or help but leave you too your own devices. We sometimes go to Estepona once usually a Sunday morning for the market but fill up at Carrefour before arrival and don't budge the whole time. Thank you both for another great holiday and hopefully back next year again.
