A traditional five double bedroom four bathroom Maison de Maitre brought up to date with sympathetic interior design and a subtle mix of antique and contemporary furniture. In a tiny hamlet close to Carcassonne and within [3km] walking distance of the nearest village with shops and places to eat - five minutes by car. Set in 2 acres of beautiful gardens with formal planting of mature chestnut trees and box hedge to the front and a wild and dramatic Mediterranean landscape with large private pool at the back. Enjoy the amazing view from the comfort of a sun lounger! The pool area has just recently been fenced for safety and there is also a pool alarm if you want the additional security around young children. There are several sets of outdoor tables and chairs arranged in different parts of the grounds so that you can choose different light for different times of day, different spaces for different meals.
Two bedrooms have twin beds and three have king size doubles. Three with ensuite shower rooms and two with a shared 'Jack & Jill' ensuite. All of the rooms feel wonderfully calm and peaceful and are decorated in soft Farrow & Ball colours with simple painted floors and pretty rugs. There is a separate loo upstairs and also a downstairs cloakroom off the utility room.
