Positive: We used this hotel, near the airport, but far enough away to not be bothered by planes, as first and last nights in Costa Rica. We stayed in one of the Club level rooms the first night but the food in the Club Lounge was only okay. The last night we stayed in a lower level room and ate at the steak restaurant. The food there was very good. And the breakfast restaurant was also very good. The hotel was also a bit of an art museum. Really wonderful stories of why it was built to resemble a hacienda and descriptions of the different art around the property.

Negative: For us, the Club Level wasn't worth the extra fee.

Summary: Good place to spend first and last night.
