Casa Batlle is the most ancient house of Les Esglésies village, and her origin dates from XVIth century about, when two brothers coming from a castle, named Castell Germà and placed over a huge rock, with the old village at the bottom named Perpinyà (whose ruins we can yet visit), decide to move in search of better and rich soil, founding the present-day village of Les Esglésies. Casa Batlle is the other name for Casa Mossèn Batista, that she received because one of the house's ancestors was batlle (mayor) of the village of Les Esglesies for many years. At present, whit the original house splitted for build the independent rural lodgings, each house bears her own name. The houses have been restored respectfully with the original structure and decorated using traditional elements, including at the same time all the elements required by the present day visitors, providing an atmosphere of quality and comfort: heating, fireplace, TV, WiFi, etc.. Casa Mossèn Batista is a great manor house whose restoration process has been very careful, preserving at every moment her original structure and decoration, starting from the traditional elements we can find out in a mountain farmers and stockmans house.
