The house consists of 3 floors. It is situated on the edge of a hilltop in the village of Playa Chiquita, surrounded by the canopy, where you can admire the wildlife and nature from above the tree line. This is the best place for bird and wildlife enthusiasts as every section of the house, including the pool, has full views of the jungle.
The ground floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen with a four-burner induction cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender, stainless steel pots and pans, Tupperware, and more! You will be pleased to know that the house has storage for 20,000 liters of rainwater. The water from the kitchen faucet passes through 6 stages of filtration, the last being ultraviolet. Safe to drink!
The dining area and living room’s large windows and folding doors open up allowing you to feel a part of the surrounding gardens.
There is a gorgeous wooden spiral staircase luring you upstairs to the second floor where you will find a spacious living area with an equally spacious wrap-around balcony which almost always has a nice breeze. Enjoy an afternoon siesta in a hanging chair or hammock. The master and guest bedrooms have queen-size beds, each with 3-inch-thick memory foam mattress toppers, great pillows, spacious hanging closets, and lots of cubbies for folding clothes. Each bedroom on this floor has its own balcony.
To get to the most exciting place to sleep, head up the ladder to the ‘’crows’ nest’’ or view room. The four walls have large louvered panels which can be raised up to create even more airflow as well as an interesting 360-degree view of the surrounding jungle. Going to sleep to the sounds of the night and waking up to hearing and seeing the burgeoning activities of the jungle is a special treat.
The gardens are a perfect complement to the house with a mix of beautiful tropical plants, trees, wildlife, and much more. Enjoy a dip in the saltwater pool. Experience Caribbean nature in luxury. Stock up the refrigerator, and cook up some fresh fish, meat, and vegetables on the grill.
And for all online workers, you will be lucky enough to enjoy paradise, while being connected to high-speed fiber optic internet during your whole stay.
You will find the most beautiful beaches just a short 15-minute walk down the hill from the house. The neighborhood is very nice, quiet, and private. The village has plenty of really good restaurants and a grocery store for all of your shopping needs. The beaches are perfect for snorkeling or swimming in the waves.
